System Gemini AKTIV Free Rifle Butt Plate

AKTIV Free Rifle Butt Plate

Renowned from club level through to Olympians, the System Gemini AKTIV Free Rifle Butt Plate has over 1 million permutations, making it possibly the most adjustable buttplate available. This allows the buttplate to be perfectly customised the shoulder of the shooter. This allows for a comfortable and repeatable butt plate positioning, whilst also obtaining optimal recoil characteristics.

Like all System Gemini products, it is manufactured from high quality aluminium alloy, and is available in a selection of colours.

The AKTIV Free Rifle Butt Plate will fit the Anschütz 14,18,19 and 20 series, Walther KK200, KK300 (Alutec) Feinwerkbau 2600 and 2700 models.

For three positional shooters we also offer 1P, 2P and 3P sets for shooters who do no wish to to have more the one butt plate carrier.

[Please note, for ISSF shooter its may be required to remove the cantilever in order to meet the maximum depth rules. This can be easily removed and adjusted by the shooter. This does not at present affect NSRA rules]

Additional cantilevers are available for shooters with older type butt plates, or who wish to increase the number they use in the heel plate assembly. These are available in a full range of colours. [Please note, under new ISSF and NRA rules the maximum depth of a butt plate curve is 25mm, so excess use of cantilevers may bring the butt plate configuration outside of the rules.]

Standard Rifle Butt Plate

System Gemini Standard Rifle Butt Plate

The System Gemini Standard Rifle Butt Plate designed in 1992 specifically to give the standard rifle shooter as much support and adjustment as possible. This means there are less possible errors in repositioning the butt after each shot. Shooters with either large or small shoulders can feel confident with the butt placement.

The mounting arrangement allows 15° of lateral movement to position the butt accurately into the shoulder; the mounting rod is universally adaptable to any rifle.

The Standard Rifle Butt Plate will fit most standard rifles, air rifles and fullbore  target rifles.

System Gemini AKTIV Handstop

The AKTIV Handstop allows the shooter to have the optimal balance between where the handstop is in contact with the correct part of the hand and where the stock rests on the palm. Fixed handstops mean that the rifle if the handstop sits in the web of the hand, the weight of the rifle is set over the thumb. Alternatively if the weight of the stock is over the palm of the hand, the handstop will rest against the index finger knuckle causing the hand to twist. The AKTIV Handstop has 22mm of adjustment either side of centre, making it the most adjustable in that dimension.

System Gemini Folding Bipod

The System Gemini Folding Bipod is made  of a mixture of high quality aluminium and stainless steel. It’s design minimises the number of moving parts, making for a robust bipod which does not rattle during firing. The sprung loaded legs simply fold away for transport, so there is no need to remove the bipod.

The bipod will fit any metric accessory rail, and uses a simple T-nut fixing.

Bipods are available in both 75mm and 95mm leg lengths, the latter being for fullbore rifles and small-bore rifles using an extension tube.

703 Standing Block

The 703 Standing block fits onto the stock in place of the trigger guard. This simple yet effective design allows the shooter a suitable depth for shooting, yet without any change to the weight and balance of the rifle.

Kneeling Block

Used typically in the kneeling position, and by some prone shooters, this fore-end raiser offers the user four different height settings.

System Gemini Ladder Foresight

The System Gemini Ladder Foresight is available in both 22mm and 30mm diameters, and allows elevation changes to be made between different distances.

The design differs from competitors foresight designs, because it offers a more ‘circular’ sight picture, due to having the adjustment at the bottom of the ladder around the barrel rather than around the foresight. (Please note, the installation of this requires an element of gunsmithing, to turn the barrel diameter down to fit the barrel band. We are able to provide this service or provide instructions to your own gunsmith.)

Typically, you will need to have your barrel turned down to 0.747-0.748. We are working on a design for the US market that will fit the 0.812 barrel tenon.

Steve Thornton

The System Gemini Small-bore Test Rig allows shooters with a simple method to batch test their rifle at their own club. The rig may be used with either just the barrel and action sat in the V-Blocks, or by mounting any parallel forend rifle (free rifle type) onto the support rod.

System Gemini Bolt Knobs

A replacement aluminium bolt knob – available in a selection of colours. 6mm threaded knobs to fit RPA and Walther bolts, 8mm threaded bolts to fit Anschütz bolts. This is ideal for shooters or clubs with multiple rifles with similar bolts.
